A Teachers Lesson 老師的一堂?

Many years ago, Mrs. Thompson stood in front of her 5th grade class and told the children a lie that she loved them all the same. But that was impossible, because there in the front row, a little boy named Teddy Stoddard was so messy and inattentive in class that Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X’s and then putting a big F at the top of his papers.

許多年前,湯普遜老師對著她五年級的學生們撒了一個謊:她說她會平等地愛每個孩子!但這是不可能的,因為前排就坐著泰迪‧史塔特–一個邋遢、上課不專心的小男孩,事實上,湯普遜老師很喜歡用粗紅筆在泰迪的考卷上畫大大的叉,然後在最上排寫個不及格!

One day, as Mrs. Thompson was reviewing each child’s past records, she was surprised by comments of Teddy’s former teachers:
某一天,湯普遜老師檢視每個學生以前的學習紀錄表,她意外地發現泰迪之前的老師給的評語十分驚人:

Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners…he is a joy to be around, wrote Teddy’s first grade teacher.
一年級老師寫道:「泰迪是個聰明的孩子,永遠面帶笑容,他的作業很整潔、很有禮貌,他讓周遭的人很快樂!」

His second grade teacher wrote, Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle.

二年級老師說:「泰迪很優秀,很受同學歡迎,但他的母親罹患了絕症,他很擔心,家裡生活一定不好過!」

His third grade teacher wrote, His mother’s death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best but his father doesn’t show much interest and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren’t taken.

三年級老師:「母親過世泰迪一定不好過,他很努力表現但父親總不在意,若再沒有改善,他的家庭生活將嚴重打擊泰迪。」

Teddy’s fourth grade teacher wrote, Teddy is withdrawn and doesn’t show much interest in school. He doesn’t have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class.

四年級老師:「泰迪開始退縮,對課業提不起興趣,沒有什麼朋友,有時會在課堂上睡覺。」

By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy’s. His present which was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag.

直到現在,湯普遜老師才了解泰迪的困難,而深感羞愧,而當她收到泰迪送的聖誕禮物—別人的禮物用緞帶及包裝紙裝飾的漂漂亮亮,泰迪送的禮物卻是用雜貨店的牛皮紙袋捆起來─湯普遜老師更覺得難過,

Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one quarter full of perfume. But she stifled the children’s laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist.

湯普遜老師忍著心酸,當著全班的面拆開泰迪的禮物,有的孩子開始嘲笑泰迪送的聖誕禮物:一條假鑽手環,上面還缺了幾顆寶石,另外是一罐只剩四分之一的香水。但是湯普遜老師不但驚呼漂亮,還帶上手環,並噴了一些香水在手腕上,其他小朋友全都愣住了。

Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to. After the children left she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, and writing, and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children.

放學後泰迪‧史塔特留下來對湯普遜老師說:「老師,妳今天聞起來好像我媽咪喔!」一等泰迪回家,湯普遜老師整整哭了一個小時,就在那一天,湯普遜老師不再教「書」:不教閱讀、不教寫作、不教數學,相反地,她開始「教育孩童」!

Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one her teacher’s pets.

湯普遜老師開始特別關注泰迪,而泰迪的心似乎重新活了過來,湯普遜老師越鼓勵泰迪,泰迪的反應越快,到了學年尾聲,泰迪已經成為班上最聰明的孩子之一。雖然湯普遜老師說過她會平等地愛每一個孩子,但泰迪卻是她最喜歡的學生。

A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.

一年後,湯普遜老師在門邊發現一張紙條,是泰迪寫來的,上面說湯普遜老師是他一生遇到最棒的老師!六年過去了,湯普遜老師又發現另一張泰迪寫的紙條,泰迪已經高中畢業,成績全班第三名,而湯普遜老師仍是他一生遇到最棒的老師!

Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he’d stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had in his whole life.

四年後,湯普遜老師又收到一封信,泰迪說有時候學校生活並不順利,但他仍堅持下去,而不久的將來他將獲得榮譽學位畢業!他再一次告訴湯普遜老師,她仍是他這一輩子遇到最棒的老師!

Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor’s degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer — the letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, M.D.

四年過去,又來了一封信。信裡面告訴湯普遜老師,泰迪大學畢業後決定繼續攻讀更高學位,他也不忘再說一次,湯普遜老師還是他這一生遇到最棒的老師,而這封信的結尾多了幾個字:「泰迪‧史塔特博士。」

The story doesn’t end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he’d met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit in the place at the wedding that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. And she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together.

故事還沒結束呢!你瞧!該年春天又來了一封信,泰迪說他遇到生命中的女孩,馬上要結婚了,泰迪解釋說他的父親幾年前過世了,他希望湯普遜老師可以參加他的婚禮並坐上屬於新郎「母親」的位置,湯普遜老師完成了泰迪的心願。但你知道嗎?湯普遜老師竟然戴著當年泰迪送的假鑽手環,還噴了同一瓶香水,是泰迪母親過世前的最後一個聖誕節用過的香水。

They hugged each, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson’s ear, Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference.

他們互相擁抱,史塔特博士悄悄在耳邊告訴湯普遜老師:「湯普遜老師,謝謝妳相信我,謝謝妳讓我覺得自己很重要,讓我相信我有能力去改變(make a difference)!」

Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn’t know how to teach until I met you.

湯普遜老師熱淚滿盈,告訴泰迪:「泰迪,你錯了!是你教導我、讓我相信我有能力去改變,一直到遇見你,我才知道該怎麼教書!」

男孩日記裡的女孩

一個故事的開頭似乎總是這樣的。一個男孩發現自己愛上了一個女孩,他向女孩表白了,女孩羞澀著,他沒有過女朋友,他向女孩提出要她做他的第一個也是唯一的一個女朋友,女孩微笑著點了點頭,伸出手,他也微笑著,手握住了手,一起向前走……
  
他叫風,有著風一樣的容貌,讓人感覺他很倜儻,她叫雨,有著風一樣的長發,長長的睫毛看上去很迷人,他們走在了一起,這樣的景色真是很和諧~ ~
  
他們在一個班,是這個班裡普普通通的兩個學生,但他們有著和其他情侶不一樣的感情,每次女孩哭泣是男孩總能在她身邊安慰她,無論何時,她很脆弱,他很堅強,他總是保護她,就像是雨裡的溫柔風,風深深的愛著雨,雨也深深的愛著風,似乎沒有什麼可以隔離他們的感情,班裡的同學都挺羨慕他們,當然也包括我。
  
他們的感情沒有什麼山盟海誓,沒有承諾,但他們的感情沒有傷害,整個夏天,風都為雨擋太陽,整個冬天風都為雨擋嚴寒,他們經常一起到那些美麗的地方去看白雪,飄飛的白雪,那時,風總是摟著雨,生怕雨會生病,因為雨的身體很弱,或許也因此雨常常哭吧,風看到雨哭時,很難受,他很想替她承擔一切,承擔一切家庭的不幸。
  
雨的家裡只有一個媽媽,因為在雨很小的時候她的父母就離異了,由此可知,在雨的心靈深處有過多大的傷疤了,風總是保護著她,讓她感覺到還有溫暖。雨的媽媽是個善良的女人,幾乎每個夜裡她都撫摸著雨的長發,等雨睡著後她才靜靜的離開,雨睡覺是總喜歡開一盞小燈,因為她不喜歡在漆黑的夜裡沉沉的睡去。
  
後來雨的母親也知道了有個男孩叫風,她並不生氣,因為她知道女兒是應該去尋找屬於她的另一份愛了,她的母愛已不能再繼續鼓勵自己的女兒了,母親總是偉大的,雨在一次哭了,因為感動,她很感謝母親能讓她保留這份屬於她自己的愛,那一夜,女孩失眠了。
  
風,在家裡正做著功課,女孩:雨去找他,風的父母在家呢,他們對雨的拜訪表示很熱情,他們知道她是個好女孩,雨走進風的房間,風開心的笑了,送給了雨一本書《不能沒有你》,雨笑了,她告訴風,她媽媽已經知道了他們之間的事,風有些緊張,然後雨有告訴他,她媽媽並沒有反對,他微笑著,雨邀請風到她家裡做客,風答應了。
  
星期天,風準時到了雨的家裡,雨的媽媽開了門並熱情的招待了他,桌上擺滿了菜餚,雨的媽媽告訴他:今天是雨的生日。他先是楞了會而後笑笑。屋外還在下著雪,風出去了會,過了好久才近來,雨的母親把蛋糕端了出來,點上了紫色的蠟燭,在歌聲中雨許了個願望,吹滅了蠟燭,正要切蛋糕時,風拉著雨的手到了屋外,一個純白的雪人呆在不遠處,風摟著雨,站在飄雪中靜靜的看著雪人,雨的眼裡又泛著淚水,雨的母親在他們身後看到他們的身影和雪人,竟也流淚了,她想如果自己的女兒沒有得“白雪病”那該是多麼的幸福啊!
  
以後的日子裡他們都在一起快樂的生活著,也包括他們的家人,也就是因為他們能在一起,他們的家人才更感到幸福。
  
平安夜到了,風把精心設計的禮物送給了雨,那是個紫色的“中國結”,他知道她是喜歡紫色的,他也是,雨也送給了風禮物,是一個男式的項鍊,上面有個字“愛”。平安夜裡他們一起平安的度過。
  
第二天。聖誕節,學校照常上課,風早早的到了,他希望早些看到雨,然而整整一天都沒看到雨的身影,風不僅開始害怕起來,至於為什麼害怕,他自己也不知道。晚自習結束後,風往雨的家裡打了電話,沒有人接,正走在去雨的家的路上,風遇見了雨的母親,然而她哭著說:雨走了,已經走的很遠了,你快去看看她吧,說著往回跑,風不明白阿姨說的是什麼意思,他趕忙跟著雨的母親後跑,他們漸漸的離醫院近了,走進病房,風看見雨靜靜的躺著,他站在那裡,過了好久才回過神來,他問阿姨,“為什麼雨會這樣?”“因為雨已經到了‘白雪病’的晚期……”說著有悲傷的哭了,風握著雨的手,很涼很涼的手,他不想她的手是涼的,更不想她會離自己遠走,走後又不再回來,雨終於睜開了眼睛,努力的說著話,她的嘴唇很紫,“別哭了……”“你怎麼不告訴我啊?”“我原以為我的病會好,所以就沒告訴你”“你真傻”,房裡的人漸漸多了起來,都是我們班的同學,雖然已經很晚了,但是大家都想來看望雨,看到風那麼傷心的流著淚,我們也很難過,風的父母很快也來了,屋裡來了很多人,一下子滿了。
  
雨,仍開心的笑了,看到有那麼多人關心她,她很高興,最後她又看到了一個她熟悉而又陌生的男人,那就是她的爸爸,她想念已久的父親,雨的母親示意大家都到外面,我們也因此離開了病房,一直在外面呆著。
  
“風,你要記得我啊,我……愛……你……”說著說著,雨的手終於徹底的放下了,心跳儀器已停止跳動了,風痛哭著,雨的母親聽到後也痛哭起來,不過她沒有進去,她知道女兒想單獨跟風呆在一起,我們所有的人都沒有進去。
  
“雨,你醒醒啊!你知道,我也是很愛你的啊,為什麼就這麼走了呢?”他漸漸平靜下了,風吻著雨的唇,他希望雨會像“白雪公主”一樣從睡夢中醒來,然而雨卻永遠的走了,不會在回來了,他的淚滴在了雨的唇……
  
後來,雨的母親告訴風,在雨的生日那天,雨許的願是希望自己的病能好起來,跟你永遠相愛下去,你知道嗎?風點點頭,風跪下了,“阿姨,做我母親好嗎?讓我照顧你,我很愛雨,我會照顧她留下的一切,可以嗎?”只見有一滴淚從風的面前滑過,那以後,雨的父親有回到了雨的母親身邊,他們幸福的生活著。
  
而風,他總在有雨的日子裡凝視著那個項鍊,凝視著天空,在風18歲的生日時,他許了個願:雨,願你在天堂裡過的開心,如果可以就忘了我吧,去尋找另一個在天堂裡關心你的人……
  
夜裡,風夢見了雨,雨告訴他:“還記得你說過的,風中有雨,雨裡伴著風,風雨永遠分不開嗎?我會永遠愛你的,請別讓我忘了你好嗎?我愛你,如果可以你把我忘了,去尋找另外一個值得你去愛的人吧!”說完雨飄走了,風被驚醒了,凝望著夜空,有顆流星滑過,男人的眼淚再次從他的眼裡流出。
  
男孩日記裡的女孩,他們曾相愛,現在卻分離,老天,願你讓他們來生成為夫妻好嗎?

沒有說出口的告白

曉芸就讀於中部某明星高中,今年剛考上的她對於什麼新鮮事物都很好奇。

像是,班上的每位同學都是曉芸所注意的對象。

一天,曉芸發現班上有位安靜的男孩。 高高的、整個外表給人的感覺很斯文。

曉芸旁敲側擊知道,那男孩名叫雲風,是學校國中部直升榜第一名升上來的。

這驚人的消息讓曉芸張大了嘴說不出口,從此曉芸開始的注意著雲風的一舉一動。

因為雲風的外表讓曉芸十分的關切,以致於雲風的一舉一動都讓曉芸收在眼底。

班上曉芸的好友映瑄鼓勵著曉芸去和雲風交談做朋友,可是害羞的曉芸只是拼著命的搖頭,什麼話也不敢說。

曉芸不由自主的讓自己的目光停駐在雲風的身上,而自己毫不覺曉

芸常常藉著一些機會,讓自己往教室的後方移動。

像是要看佈告欄、要找映瑄、要丟垃圾….之類的小動作。

因為,她所心仰的雲風坐在教室的後面。

其實,只要經過雲風的身旁,不小心的看到雲風的樣子就高興半天

一天,上歷史課的時候曉芸發現自己的筆記不見了。

正在心急的時候,突然想起這堂歷史老師注重筆記是出名的兇。

這下,曉芸更著急了。可是偏偏,卻找不到自己的筆記。

好巧不巧的更在,今天是歷史老師要收筆記打作業分數的日子。

曉芸正著急的不知如何是好,突然『起立!』的一聲傳進曉芸耳裡。

曉芸的心跳漏了一拍,眼前一片迷濛。
